1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Promlo (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). The Service is operated by the team behind Promlo ("we," "us," "our"). If you don't agree to these Terms, don't use the Service.
If you are using Promlo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of service
Promlo is an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) platform. It lets you run prompts against multiple AI models (currently ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and Llama), extracts brand mentions and citations from those responses, and presents analytics over time.
Promlo is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee at this stage. Upstream AI providers, OpenRouter, Cloudflare, and Stripe may all affect Service availability.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice for breaking changes, and we'll give written notice for changes that materially reduce what you've already paid for.
3. Account registration and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Promlo.
- One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep it current.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including any teammates you invite to your organization.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or crawl the Promlo web application or its APIs in ways not permitted by us.
- Use Promlo to run prompts on behalf of third parties without their consent (e.g. reselling Promlo as a white-label service without a separate agreement).
- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or designed to harass.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass rate limits, or probe for security vulnerabilities outside of responsible disclosure.
- Use Promlo to generate, promote, or distribute illegal content, CSAM, malware, or content that violates the acceptable-use policies of the upstream AI providers we call on your behalf.
- Use automated tools to create accounts or circumvent plan quotas.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Promlo offers a Free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently Starter, Pro, and Team). Current pricing is on our pricing page.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store or process your card details.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year (depending on the interval you chose) until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial months.
- Plan upgrades and downgrades prorate via Stripe on the next invoice.
- Taxes (if any) are your responsibility and are added at checkout where required.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until the balance is settled.
6. Usage limits and fair use
Each plan has monthly run quotas, prompt limits, and allowed schedule tiers. Current quotas are published on our pricing page and shown in your billing settings.
To keep the Service efficient for everyone, we apply the following automatic fair-use policies:
- Auto-demote on static answers. If a prompt produces identical extracted mentions and citation domains across three consecutive scheduled runs, we automatically demote its schedule tier by one step (daily → every 3 days → weekly). You can re-promote any time.
- Manual run rate limit. Manually-triggered runs are capped at 10 per minute per organization to prevent runaway loops.
- Free-tier retention. On the Free tier, prompt-run history older than 30 days is automatically purged. Paid tiers retain history for the period stated on your plan.
We may revise these limits as the Service evolves. We'll announce material changes in advance.
7. Intellectual property
We own the Promlo software, product design, trademarks, and documentation. You own your data — brand information, prompts, extracted mentions, and any content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you (including sending prompts to upstream AI providers on your behalf).
AI-generated output returned to you via Promlo is yours to use, subject to the terms of the upstream model providers that generated it. We do not claim ownership over AI outputs.
8. Third-party services
Promlo relies on a small number of third-party services. Your use of the Service also involves these providers, and their terms apply to their portion of the work:
- OpenRouter — routes your prompts to the underlying AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Llama).
- Stripe — processes payments and stores billing information.
- Cloudflare — hosts the application, database (D1), and serves global edge traffic.
- Resend — sends transactional email (account verification, billing receipts, alerts) where enabled.
See our Privacy Policy for details on what we share with each and why.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
AI models produce statistical outputs and can hallucinate, misattribute, or miss relevant information. You are responsible for verifying anything important before acting on it. Promlo makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI responses, extracted mentions, citations, or competitor data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Promlo in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Termination
You can cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. On account deletion, we remove your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account is at risk of abuse, or if we're required to by law. Where practical we'll give you notice and an opportunity to cure.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including its existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force at the time. The seat of arbitration is Hong Kong. The language of arbitration is English. The tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll email registered account holders and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
